Face ID - alternate appearance

I was watching one of Brandon Butch's videos yesterday about setting up an alternate appearance on Face ID and was wondering how many of you have done so. I am thinking it would make things a lot easier if I had one of me wearing a mask.

I tried this a number of times in the last year but was never able to get it to work while wearing a mask. I haven't tried on 14.4, but I'm still convinced it won't work.

I too have tried to setup an alternate appearance on Face ID with a mask but was never successful so I gave up.
