Expanding MBP storage with micro sd card

Has anyone done it? Work ok?
I have over 100 gigs of music that I still sync to an ipod touch. Thinking of offloading that to a micro sd card and adapter. Wondering if anyone tried this with success or failure before I make the attempt.

Would look at high read/write speeds of the microsd card in order to handle the sync of data.

Why not look at a standard SD card, such as used in cameras? You could get better read/write performance with some of those.

Great idea. My MacBook Pro has a built in SD card slot. I have an old MacBook Pro, LOL...

All my MBP has are USB-C connections so I just use an external SSD storage device.

I didn't know that. I could check into it. I didn't have really a specific preference per say.
