They shoot for the 'under/over'...just don't over-expect.

It seems like only people that are moving up are people that had October shipping dates. Me & tons of others with November dates haven't moved at all

I ordered through the Verizon site @ 5:00am eastern time on 9/12. The site was not functioning for me for the first two hours. My initial scheduled shipment was 10/7 so I moved up almost 2 weeks from their original scheduled date.

Mine was scheduled to arrive 10/07. Much to my surprise, got a notice Tuesday and it arrives Thursday--basically 2 weeks ahead of schedule!

I was hoping for the under promise and over deliver. I was shocked to see it back ordered when I ordered immediately. I also was shocked to see it back ordered a few weeks at first. For it to be 4 business days after release is fairly acceptable considering what time I ordered it and also considering the Verizon site was crashed until I was able to order it.

I wouldn't be surprised if you got your phone next week maybe a few days after Columbus Day.

I called my local Best Buy Mobile in Friday and they had one 6+ in stock. It was insane, but it was the exact model I wanted. Verizon, space grey, 64 GB. I left work early, raced over and jumped into line. 4-5 minutes later a guy got into line behind me and told the guy working the counter he was there for an iPhone 6+... It was almost too good to be true.

Canceled my order with apple and I am IN LOVE with this phone. Trust me guys, it is well worth the wait!

This is what my order status has looked like since the day I ordered the phone. Not sure why mine doesn't show any more details (I edited out my #'s)

The emails they sent me tell me to expect it to ship 11/9-11/27
