Pretty sure Apple's engineers thought of it.

Would you not have thought of it unless there was a blog post suggesting it can be done?

BREAKING NEWS: If thieves break into your house, they can get your car keys, thus making car keys un-secure.

If someone is that untrusting of their family ( who can also take the car keys ) then reboot the phone before sleeping. Then it requires a traditional unlock in the morning. Same if you get pinched. They can compel you to touch your finger but not to enter your passcode.

Someone was fishing with this story. A thief or cop could force you to type in your passcode as well.
A thug with a gun to your head sure can.

Love the fear mongering of the desperate.

Seriously, they make big news out of this?

Actually it is worth noting that the kid is tech savvy.
