Emergency data recovery service?

Have you ever had to use an emergency data recovery service for your iPhone or iPad that wasn't backed up?

Let me know which service it was and whether or not it worked/was worth the trouble!

I've never uses any such service on any of my Apple devices. Why? I didn't need to. With an option like iCloud backup, the ability to sync to iTunes, upload important dat to services like Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etcetera, all of my important data are easily retrievable.

I don't use any other software.
I back up everything to iClouds and to my laptop which I back up to OneDrive and also an external 3 TB hard drive.
I keep all my passwords in Keeper which I use across all my devices.
This is how I manage data and it works for me. I find that not having a single point of failure is what works best for me.
