Email Push notification

If i'm using a gmail account and its fetching the email, should i have push under my email settings enabled or disabled? will it affect batt life or make no difference?

I think it would depend upon your need. If you need your emails at regular intervals I would say set it to fetch at whatever time you think. (5mins., 10mins.) Fetch does not seem to effect battery life as much as push. If you do not need it to be fetched I would say just check it manually as you need to save as much battery as possible.

Yes, I would set Push to "off" but leave fetch set at whatever interval you want. Not sure if Push set to on would drain the battery faster, but still. If you are not using Push email, just turn it off.

i agree with dizzy. i would think that fetching every 15 minutes regardless of whether there is email or not would effect battery more than just pushing the email when needed.

There is a bug in mail right now (3.0) where it constantly checks your email even if you don't have a push capable account, which uses more battery than push itself. I'd say turn it off because this bug is causing reduced battery.
