Email issues

Has anyone been experiencing email issues after the latest round of updates on OS X and iOS8?

Mac mail issues with connecting to SMPT server and my iCloud email doesn't send.

My gmail is forwarded to my icloud. Over the last few days I seemed to be having issues with some of my gmail not delivering to icloud or being delayed significantly.

I was experiencing issues over the weekend, but I think it was a gmail issue. It seems to have resolved itself this morning.
