Just recieved that email. Been out of contract for almost a year.Almost renewed my contract for a free HTC Incredible from Best Buy @ Christmas but with so many great devices coming out over the next few months I'm SO glad I resisted. My trusty BB Curve 8330 will hold me over..........:D

I have a secondary line that is due for an upgrade 2/28/11. I called and they said that I could upgrade that line on 2/10/11 but not take advantage of the preorder:mad: I'll try calling again on 2/3/11 and see if I can get them to allow it then.

I have been with them 6 years loyally I think that anyone with 2 to 3 month left til eligible should be able to upgrade

If you're within 3 months of your contract ending - you should be able to upgrade at the 2-year price... check your myverizon page - it will give you your upgrade eligibility date - or call customer service and they'll tell you.

You won't be able to do the Pre order on Feb 3rd, but almost surely will be able to do an early upgrade on the 10th.

AT&T bumped peoples upgrades a bit early when the i4 came out, maybe Verizon will do the same.

I thought it was only by like 6 months. 20-6 is 14, which isn't bad, 2 months after release, but the next year and then the next, etc. Eventually you might as well skip a model.

I just called last night. My family plan had mine and 2 others listed to upgrade on 6/29/2011. They moved mine up to Feb 3rd without a fight or fuss!!!! Call them and try it, its worth a shot!

What do you have for phones now?

People who don't have smart phones presently, and want an iPhone have a better chance of getting an upgrade date bumped up - because they're going to lock you in to a contract that will take your contribution to the ARPU (average revenue per user) up significantly. You're not out anything by calling in and asking... the worst thing they can do is say no.

This is what we have been talking about in another thread in here just now and I just did that to prove a point to someone who posted that you can upgrade after 1 year at a discounted price on a 2 year plan. I told him you cannot and MY Verizon just confirmed I have 1 month left. i am kind of banking that with 1 Month I might get to Pre-Order and if not I can wait the month out for sure.
