Email Fetch and Push?

I am just wondering, when I got to Settings/Mail/fetch new data
If I put it to push and have fetch on for every 15 minutes, does this mean that it will fetch for new data for apps such as Facebook, Words with Friends etc, every fifteen minutes and email I will get instantly.
Or
Does it mean I will get email every 15 minutes?

Those settings are for email accounts only, they do not effect push notifications or other apps.

Like mentioned above that is strictly for email only. All settings for other apps are within the apps themselves along with separate notification settings under "notifications" in the settings.
