New to the whole Ebook thing, so question may be elementary: If I purchase books from Kindle can I read them on the ibooks app? or do I need to also have Kindle app on my IPad?

if you already have things via kindle on other devices, the iOS app is the way to go for that content... and use iBooks for iTunes book content...

I don't have anything from Kindle on other devices, but I can see that Kindle has several books that ibooks does not offer....and Kindle appears to have many books at a cost that is several dollars cheaper than iBooks.

That's why I was wondering if I make those purchases from Kindle, would the ipad IOS recognize them automatically or would I need to download a Kindle app to read them?
