Early Shipping of New iPhone 6s Plus???

I got a shipping date of 9/25 from Verizon i called and she said thats the date they ship not the day i will get them is this true??

You will not get your phone on 9/25...this kind of stuff is why people on iMore suggests so heavily that you do your pre-order directly through Apple, sot here is none of this kind of confusion.

No, you will most likely receive it on 9/25. Verizon ships early with instructions not to deliver until launch day at the earliest. Last year they had my shipping address wrong. They shipped it Tuesday or Wednesday of that week and I had to call them to ask them to call Fedex and change the shipping address. Fedex said they wouldn't accept the change from me, it had to come directly from Verizon. Anyway, I called customer service and had to spend time arguing with the rep because she insisted that I couldn't need to change the shipping address for my iPhone 6 Plus because the phone hadn't even been released yet. Needless to say I lost my patience, told her to stop arguing with me and just call Fedex. Long story short, it's not uncommon for their customer service reps to not know what the hell they're talking about. Thankfully Verizon's warehouses know the deal and will ship it out in time for delivery on 9/25 if that was the date on your confirmation.

Absolutely not. The carriers got their collective butts in a sling back in 2010 with the release of the iPhone 4. It will not come early, but it will be there on Friday (unless you're in parts of NYC and Philly).

Weird thing happened again, like the same last year. Has soon has I ordered my 6S plus the money was deducted from my account then a week later ( yesterday) Apple pushed the money back into my account.


I guess they take the money out of my account when it ships.

Apple does that to make sure you have the appropriate amount of funds in the account, so come the time that they actually want to charge you for the phone (right before it ships) they know they can. Plus, it gives you a bit of extra time, just in case something happens to be wrong with the billing, so you have time to fix it, and still be able to get it on Launch Day.
