E-mail sending problem

I cannot send an e-mail on my ipad air. I can receive but not send. The strange thing iI can send if I do not put n a message.

Did you reboot? Remove the email account from the iPad and try again. Back up and restore if it doesn't work or you can always contact Apple if the iPad is under warranty.

is this a new problem? were you able to send before? Sometimes these things just fix themselves
