I am using iPhone 3GS. Recently upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 and BB 6.15. But I am facing problem that network signal (wifi and carrier) keeps losing in every 4/5 minute. So thought upgrading iOS 6.0.1 may solve this.

You may want to look into downgrading from the iPad baseband to the regular one that ultrasn0w supports then downgrade to 5.0.1 or 5.1.1 depending on what blobs you have saved.

For instructions try iclarified.com or the dev-team blog.
