Does voice dialing work on 3G phones?

Does anyone know if the voice dial feature in the 3.0 upgrade work on the 3G phone?

Yes you could but I am not sure if cydia has a voice dialing app.

There are 3rd party apps (vlingo is one) I used before going to my 3GS that let you voice dial. It's not the same as voice control, but you can use it to dial numbers from your phone book.

vlingo is actually a pretty good app, you can voice dial, voice text, and update your facebook status all while just talking. worth checking out.

The Google App does have voice activated searches for things. (ie. "Find Walmart in St. Louise")

Vlingo will dial the phone for you as well as search for things (via Google) by voice activation. Google does not voice dial.
