Does the 12w charger degrades the battery health faster ?

I usually charge my xr with the 5w charger but it is very very slow so i started charging with the 12w ipad charger.. does this 12w charger degrades the battery health faster ?

Welcome to iMore. I've been using my iPad charger to charge my iPhones since my 5s and I haven't noticed any significant battery degradation. However, I do tend to upgrade my iPhone every 1 to 2 years and my iPhone batteries performance was still good. Enjoy and feel free to join in on the many threads on iMore.

I agree with Spencerdl. I doubt the iPad charger will harm your iPhone’s battery.

I toss the 5W in a drawer right out of the box and default to faster chargers I’ve collected over the years. Done this for years on many, many phones and have never had a problem.
