Just wondering. If I close or minimize number of apps running on the background (double tap the home button) will help in battery life? Or it's a placebo effect?
Thanks.
Thanks.

when you said memory, you mean RAM? or storage space?
Thanks.
Mostly placebo. Unless the app is written to use GPS and continue to do so while suspended to background. Those will use battery.
I see. I guess if you are playing a game that requires data (cellular or wifi) connections and/or GPS (i.e CSR Racing, Hay Day, Google Maps, Around Me or such), it would affect the battery, but if it's standalone app (i.e Angry Birds), then it should be OK.
Is that right?
The app tray is really a "most recently used" app list, not a list of apps currently running.
