does it matter which side u put the 'flimsy film' on the face of your phone?

I needed to clean the screen on my droid so I removed the otterbox and cleaned the phone screen and the flimsy that came with the case. When I went to put it back together, the flimsy one seemed to be tacky on one side and if I put that side down...it created the bubble look. Does it matter which side is down?

Yes, it does. One side is adhesive purpose and the other side is not.
