So no data will be sent to Apple until you say your pass phrase to HomePod. Apple’s security was tested and shown victorious when they took their stand against the FBI in the 2016 case with the iPhone 5c. So I’m pretty sure Apple’s security has proven to be one of the best in the world and best at protecting our data.
