Does anyone know if the base model iPhone 6S will come with 32GB storage?

Been reading lately about maybe the iPhone 6s base model will be 32gb. Do we know anything about this?

I will still be upgrading to 64 GB, but for those that need more than 16 GB but 64 GB is too much storage/too expensive, I'm sure it would be a welcome improvement.

I don't think they'll do it. Simply because it'll deter too many from buying the 64GB.

I think this was best answered by Phil Schiller when interviewed by John Gruber after the last WWDC, when he explained they were looking at keeping the price point low without giving up other features such as camera quality, Touch ID, NFC, etc.

Think about the grandparent types who still like the simplicity of iOS, but don't consume much media. They mainly want to email, message, and view the grandkids pix on iCloud. No real need for a large amount of storage.

It's the extra money made by getting people to buy 64 gig models instead of 32. 16 gig is way too small. Even if you are a grandpa.

I'm not sure if I still would have gone with a 64 if a 32 was available.

Music would be a good reason for them to up the base to 32 gb. Time will tell. One month away!

On the music note. They want you to stream using Apple Music so they probably won't take that in consideration when it comes to giving a bigger base model for storage

I doubt they'll be closing the iTunes Store anytime soon. And the more space one has, the more music one can download to offline for listening. Most people don't have unlimited data to stream with. So, yeah, they may see the need there. Then again, the base of 32 gb may just be rumor. LOL
