Does anyone feel like their battery life is impacted significantly with using an Apple Watch? I have a series 1 and while it's not what I would call terrible battery life it's not what people are boasting about getting with their iPhone 7 Pluses.

So my question: have you had a noticeable decrease in battery life since using an Apple Watch every day?

Re: iPhone battery life impacted

I've been using the Apple Watch since August of 2015. My iPhone 6 Plus battery life seemed largely unaffected, and my iPhone 7 Plus battery life is better than that was. I can't say for sure if the watch had an adverse effect, but it defintiely wasn't enough for me to notice. I am also a heavy user. I would suggest, if you haven't, checking your battery usage in Settings to get an idea of where your power usage is going and if it seems to be consistent with your usage.

Best of luck!

Thanks! I'm thinking I may wipe my phone and set up as new and see if that helps at all.

Re: iPhone battery life impacted

If anything, using the Apple Watch extends my iPhone's battery life because it drastically reduces the number of times I look at my phone.

Same here. The phone's display is probably one of the single biggest drains of electricity, behind GPS. Not having to use it even 1/10 as much as I normally do stretches the run time.

However if you have an app that uses Location Services in the background, that might ding your phone's battery life some. How much, I have no idea. A Restore as New might be a good idea.

Best of luck! My 7 Plus can usually get me through most of the day, even with heavy use. I've also been without my watch for about a week now (it was sent in for repair) and I've been coming to the end of the day in low power mode, which is fairly uncommon, so it may be true, as tcuprof pointed out, that it helped to extend battery life. I'll have to do a comparison when I get the watch back, which will hopefully be today!
