Does 3rd generation Apple TV remote require line of sight?

Yeah I can connect my tv to the wifi. I was planning to connect it via cat6 though. Figured I’d get faster performance that way.

If you can connect via Ethernet cable then yeah, I’d definitely go that route.

I put the Apple TV behind a cardboard box and it still worked. I’ll tape the Apple TV behind the tv and try again.

Even if it's not visible light (to humain beings), it's still light and it should behave as such. In other words, it might have reflected on some reflective surface. Nonetheless, you can always try and see if it works; you don't lose anything by trying
