After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
I don't. My iphone is always on me, I have NEVER lost a phone and don't plan to.
Too big a window. If your phone is unlocked when someone finds it, they can simply turn the lock off all together.i have it ON every 4 hours...just in case
One cannot know whether four digits is long enough without knowing how many trials are allowed. I allow ten trials but have never needed more than three myself. Four digits, ten thousand options, and ten trials, means that a finder has a one in a thousand chance of guessing the passcode. By reducing the number of trials to two, I reduce his odds to one in five thousand............I DO want Apple to implement something to where people can not just switch the find my iPhone feature off.
That should require a passcode for sure. Preferably longer than 4 numbers.
