Do not have optimize iPhone storage on my cloud or photo storage. Trying to move pictures ti iCloud.

Phone keeps showing not enough memory/space to take more photos.

If you are saying you're getting that message on your phone, yes, you should probably enable Optimize iPhone Storage. That is, assuming you have enough iCloud storage.

Also, I would recommend doing some photo cleanup, if you haven't already.
