Do I have to charge the battery of my new iphone for 8 hours before using?

I 've just bought a new iphone 6S. I am wondering if I need to first charge the battery for 8 hours continuously before using, so as to enhance battery life.

Welcome to iMore! Conditioning your battery really isn't necessary but every once in a while it doesn't hurt to drain down to 0% and then charge to 100% just to calibrate the battery percentage.
