Do apps that use Push to send info use more battery life?

I have several apps that push info to me (FoxNews, AP, Bargin Bin, etc..) and was curious if having these apps are draining my battery faster. I'm not talking about a subtle drain but something where I may consider shutting off the notification on apps that I don't use that often.

Since there isn't multitasking yet, I'm thinking no but I hoping someone with more knowledge than I can answer this for me.

Thanks

i think whether you use a vibration option, or not, would be your biggest concern

As others have said, push is not really that much a battery drain at all. And even when OS 4 hits the way that Apple has done multi-tasking is through API's and saved state so it will not drain the battery either.
