I'm not seeing any distortion in my 5S pics. Somebody post a example of what they are getting.

Here are two photos, one with the car in the middle of frame and another with car in the bottom of frame. If intake a pic with the car in the top of frame the roofline gets very "skinny"

I'm going to try and duplicate this on my phone.
And check out some past photos to see if I see this.

I sent an abbreviated note to Apple at their feedback site. I'm hoping that this thread gets bigger, so we can find out if this is a design flaw or something else.

It has to do with the angle of the phone I believe. If you keep the subject perpendicular to the lens it should he straight with little to no distortion, but when you tilt the lens to, say a 60deg angle to the subject the distortion is amplified.
Knowing this I would just make sure to always angle the phone at a 45 and don't angle it for composition.

I think there is compression at work due to the wideish angle and small aperture. I don't know if you will be able to get away from it. Anandtech has a write up on the 5s camera.

Hey pelorick/guys,

I have had my iPhone 5s for 6 month now, but have just started seeing this camera distortion issue. Has anyone solved this or found a fix? I appreciate sharing.

Thanks,
