Discount?

Does anyone know how carriers will handle the iPhone 5 being discontinued? I am assuming they will sell them until their supply is gone, but would the 16GB be discounted from the $199 on contract that it is now?

It's hard to say what the individual carriers will do. I would think they might offer a reduced rate on it until their current supply is gone. I would check with your carrier just to be sure, though.

From what I've seen the main carriers r offering them for $100 off the on contract and full retail price.

Several retail outlets have already knocked down the price of the iPhone 5 to clear out existing inventory. I've seen ads for as little as $50 locally.

I received a text from Verizon yesterday stating that I was given a $100 price adjustment since the iPhone 5 went on sale on the 10th. I upgraded to the 5 on the 5th.

That was nice that they did this. AT&T has done this for me in the past as well.
