I have been using my iPhone 12 in black (stunning color) for 3 days now. I find it interesting to hold. There is a re readjustment period to holding a square phone after years of curved devices, there's no way around that and I'm surprised no one realized that. Muscle memory alone is a factor. I love this phone so much (my God it's snappy) that I'm willing to retrain my hands to hold it.

I was a bit nervous about getting the iPhone 12 Pro with the square sides as i found the iPhone 4 and 5 edges to be too sharp for my liking. The iPhone 12 feels great in my hands and does not feel sharp at all. It’s less slippery than the iPhone 11 Pro I just traded in as i rarely use a case. So far I’m really happy with the phone!

I finally got my 12 pro. I’m thrilled with the feel in hand. I couldn’t stand the XS out of a case. This phone feels like home and my old 5/5s I rad case less. I really want a smart battery case to be released. Until then I’ll use it caseless. And I also agree the back doesn’t feel slick at all.

While I prefer the look of the squared edges, it doesn't matter much to me. I always keep mine in a case.
Sorry it didn't work for you.

Coming from the 11 pro the 12 feels very uncomfortable for me to hold due to the squared off edges. I don’t like them. I know it’s something new and different and you’re right, we need to retrain our hands. I’m going to give it the two weeks and see what happens

I’ve been using the 12 Pro since Friday. I have it in a clear ESR case. The squared edges definitely feel harsh in the hand, but it could just be the case making it worse.

The phone itself is super quick, and battery life has been fantastic (on iOS 14.2 beta 5).

I came from the S20 Ultra, and although I’m having to get used to a much smaller display, I’m loving this 12 Pro so far.

The cameras are fantastic overall, at least from my testing so far.

Here’s a sample pic in case anyone is wondering.

I am just over here trying to decide, do I get the iPhone 12 Pro, or get the 12 Pro Max.
From time to time, I think my 11 Pro Max is a 'little' large. Thus, the 12 Pro would suffice. But, when I review images online, it seems a minimal increase.

I was thinking of going with the 12 Pro this year ,it seems like a perfect size however with the poor battery reviews I have been hearing and the better cameras on the max I am leaning towards the 12 Pro Max it's only a touch higher than the 11 Max.

Despite having a smaller battery, Apple's tech specs indicate that the iPhone 12 Pro Max has the same battery life as the iPhone 11 Pro Max, with both devices providing up to 20 hours of video playback and up to 80 hours of audio playback.

Now that everyone has their new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro in their hands we're starting to learn more and more about the new hotness. It isn't all good news, though, with a new battery test showing that the outgoing iPhone 11 Pro might be a batter champ when compared with the new releases.

I was in the same boat as you. I have the 11 Pro Max. It’s really been awesome but I also think sometimes that’s its just a bit huge. I got the 12 pro. I used it for a couple of days and the battery life seems pretty solid. I just felt its too small. It almost feels like a toy after carrying around the 11 pro max. That leaves me to the next issue. Is it worth it to get the 12 pro max? Right now, I feel like the answer is no. I dont see a single thing that makes me want to upgrade other than its new.

I traded in an iPhone XS Max, and if it was not for that, I would probably wait to upgrade.
Albeit, I do use a iPhone 11 Pro Max, daily...

So I have an 11 pro...not max size and I got the 12 pro. First thing I noticed is that I like the curved edges much better on my 11 pro. Easier to hold for me and just more comfortable. Secondly, I can justify coughing up about $350-$400 after selling my 11 pro for the 12 pro. The cameras are not improved enough, 5G I could care less about being that it barely even exists in my area, and while I gain more screen real estate the battery has decreased. So what am I really paying for? A flat screen with squared off edges? I think the 11 pros to the 12 pros are not upgrade worthy this time around. The 12 pro reminds me of an "S" model this year unfortunately.

Sorry it didn’t work out for you, OP!!

I decided not to upgrade for the simple fact that the pro models are too big for me & I was right. One of my friends got her 12 Pro on Friday & while it’s a nice phone, it’s a good deal larger than my XS & 11 Pro. I’ll definitely be holding out!

I give you before Xmas to own one.
