I'm thinking they didn't include it because of the coating they put on the screen. Probably figured we didn't need it anymore.

I'm guessing that there's no special coating on our screens. They just came up with this story to justify saving a few cents by not including the cleaning cloth. (just kidding)

As I'm sure it's already been said, the 3GS doesn't need one. It has an oleophobic coating on the glass. So any oil or fingerprints wipe off very, very easily.

I didn't get one with 3G S, was kinda surprised. I wanted a dock adaptor too like the one that came with my iPod Touch. I've got two (MacBook and iPod Touch) cleaning clothes so it's no biggie to me, but want an adaptor to set in my FM Transmitter.

but I guess it's ok because the oleophobic coating can be wiped clean easily by pretty much anything.
