Dialing from Text Screen

On my old phone I had the capability of dialing the individual if I wanted to, from the text screen.

In other words if I was texting and wanted to talk, I could touch or hit the menu button and was giving the option to call the individual vice texting. Is that possible on the IP4, without jail breaking? Running iOS 4.3.3

There is a call button all the way at the top of the default conversation window.

Understood and thanks, I see that now, but I have to scroll back to the top of my conversation to access the call button.
Would be more feasible to just tap the name of the individual that your in the conversation with, and have that option to call without scrolling up thru the text.

I agree with you, that would be great and I wish that it worked that way too.

Once upon a time I found a shortcut that scrolled to the top of the conversation screen, but I could never figure out what it was...

To make things easier, you can just tap on the time at the top and it will scroll all the way to the top automagically - so you don't you have to swipe much.

No problem!

Just as a note - that works on any app that requires scrolling so whenever you are in any app and you want to scroll to the top like that then you can use that.

if you jailbreak you can use bitesms that will give you a call button on the popup. But i know the OP said he doesnt want to jailbreak
