Details on DATA Use

Hey guys,

This is a nice resource on iPhone 3G info. I have a few questions about data use and I'm hoping you guys can clear it up.

Does using the maps with GPS use data?

Is it possible to get your apps, like the weather app for example, to use Wi-Fi instead of data?

Yes it does use data. To answer your second question, yes you can use wifi. As long as you are by a wifi source, connect and you are good to go. But there is no getting around buying a data plan from At&t.
