Deleted emails showing back up in inbox?

I have comcast, yahoo, & mobileme email accounts on my iphone but for some reason every once and a while an email that I deleted off both my laptop and iphone from my comcast email account will come back as an unread message on my iphone? It's usually an email I received a few days before. It shows up in my inbox in order of the date it was received and has the blue unread icon next to it and I will also get a unread alert on the home screen too.

Any ideas on why this is happening? Does anyone know how to fix this? Has anyone else seen this happen to them?

What version of the iPhone firmware are you using

Could it be because your phone had a bad connection and was unable to connect with your server? This has happened to me but the phone notified me with a pop up thatsaid unable to move selected file.

I'm using 3.1 on a 16gb 3Gs, I never received a "unable to connect with your server" message.

For those having the issue, I'd like to know if you use any other email client to check emails. And, if you do, does it show that receovered email there to?

If so, it must be a server issue, and not an iPhone issue...

What does other email clients mean?

Like Outlook/Outlook Express, Firebird, etc. Desktop ( not on the iPhone ) clients.
