I really don't think Apple would release 2 different iPhones. That would create problems for developers, which Apple needs to keep and get more of to support the App Store. Having 2 different iPhones, with different hardware and specs means that developers have to them create their Apps to work flawlessly across multiple iPhones. Developers do that already with the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, but if they could avoid it I am sure they would. I guess we'll find out.
