Default Calendar Alert Time?

Unless I'm flat-out missing the place to change the option...I am very surprised a device this well thought out could have left out something so basic.

I hate the fact that I cannot change my default calendar alert time. Coming over from a BB, the lack of basic customization can become frustrating. I realize its only a few extra steps to set it, but the phone is so intuitive by design, its a shame this feature has been ignored.
