Cutting SIM for iPhone, changing data plan?

I started using another smartphone with a standard SIM but I'll be coming back to an iPhone.
If I cut the SIM to the size of the iPhone, will I need to change my data plan to iPhone specific (I'm on AT&T) or can I keep my normal smartphone data plan?

Unless its a bb you should be fine.... Just go to AT&T and get a new micro sim they're free

You won't have to change it. I just switched back to an iPhone today and got my sim card cut down and it's been working just fine. But it is true that just going into an AT&T store will get you a free micro sim and they'll get you taken care of.
