I have an iPad 3, iPhone 6, and a 4-year-old iMac, and I would love to have an iPad Pro. I am a technical writer by occupation and a memoirist by avocation - I have led a somewhat unusual and interesting life, and have been drawing on my experiences to write "stories from my life" for which there could be publishing possibilities. I have also been teaching myself Mandarin with electronic dictionaries, ebooks, and other resources on my phone, iPad, and Mac - the Mac OS and iOS environments are ideal for language learning, and I'm now working on putting together a Chinese reader. I have used my iPad extensively with an Amazon Basics keyboard, but I believe the iPad Pro with its much faster speed, multitasking, split screen, larger work area, and readily accessible keyboard would greatly expand my productivity.
I wrote an illustrated family history using Pages on my iMac and would like to experiment further with illustrated essays using the larger format and enhanced capabilities of the iPad Pro. And there's travel writing - we're headed for China again in February, and the iPad Pro would be ideal for compiling notes and impressions. On our last trip earlier this year I used my smaller iPad as my traveling computer/writing machine to keep an illustrated blog, including photos from my iPhone and Canon SLR - the iPad Pro would represent a quantum leap forward for such writing. I must commend Serenity Caldwell for her extremely intriguing impressions of using the iPad Pro as her sole computer for a week, plus Rene Ritchie's very helpful "video review" of the iPad Pro.
