Contacts are not showing up in iPhone Hangouts App after SMS integration

Any clue how to fix this? some of my contacts are not showing up with names after I get an SMS in Hangouts but on Gmail.com or other areas I see the Name and #.

According to the information found via the Google Products support forum, it's a problem that is Google is aware of and expects to be fixed with a future update.

Thank you, hoping for an update. MMS is working well from most contacts in hangouts now, just waiting for the Contacts to show up.

Any update to when this will be fixed, it is only on iPhone and in Hangouts.

Texts in gmail hangouts on a computer are fine.

Anyone else still seeing this, SMS contacts in hangouts are phone # only on iPhone but in android or gmail on a computer they are contact names? There was an update to the Hangouts app in iPhone today but still only cell # and no contact name.

I'm getting contact name in the new update. Not the cell# like earlier. Do you have sync contact options turn on in settings?

I am getting contact names in Hangouts now, I wasn't right after the update. I stand corrected, Perfect now. thanks,
