Contacts App problems

I have two problems with the Contacts App in iOS6. Am I missing something here?

1. I used to be able to go to a specific group, to view all the contacts in that group. I cannot do that now.

2. Once IN that group, I can ADD a new contact specifically in that group I can no longer add a contact in a particular group.

I'm less concerned with #1, but #2 is very important to me. I have over a thousand contacts in my phone, spanning 3 accounts (work, home, and cell). I rely on groups for all three heavily.

Is this just no longer available in iOS6???

I have same issue. I use groups everyday, now I just see a list of the group names but cannot access people within one. They seem useless. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Ok. Here is the answer, not perfect but the way it works.

Go to contacts, hit the groups button. Hit hide all contacts. Select the group name(s) you want. Hit done. It will then show only the group(s) selected. You can add contacts to that group from there.

Seems like a lot more work than before, but if you work with groups often I guess for now it is what it is. Hope over time they revert.

I think #1 problem is much worse - immediately anyway. I can't access the people in groups anymore, so in order to quickly call one, I have to search in the 'all contacts' (which fortunately still works), thus rendering groups completely meaningless. My workaround for now was to download the free app I found called 'groups' (by Qbits). It lets you add to your existing groups and access the contacts within groups right away. It also has nice editing functions ( you can select several contacts at once to delete or e-mail). the interface looks almost identical to the usual contacts app
