Compare the S3.

There are definitely limitations when a Gear S3 is paired to an iOS device (assuming we're talking about the non-LTE version of the S3). Apple just doesn't open up their notification system that much. Replying to messages and other forms of interaction are limited.

Note that if you have an LTE-equipped Gear S3, you will have more features like being able to reply easily to messages, since the watch itself handles all of that. It doesn't need to communicate with the phone to do so in this case.

I went ahead and bought the S3 Frontier to use with my 7+ until the Samsung S8+ is available. It definitely doesn't work as well with an iPhone as my Apple Watches but it works we'll enough. The difference between the S3 and the AW is pretty substantial. The S3 makes the AW seem like a child's toy. The Samsung feels solid and heavy. The build quality and screen are far superior to the Apple. Now I just need that S8+!!!

I have the S3 Classic and I must say that the quality is not up to the standard of the Apple Watch. Roughly 50% of the case is plastic, so how can it be?
Also, the round display is a bad idea for media consumption.
Mines been sat in a draw since January. A waste of £350!
