While the addition of Oklahoma and Texas last year to the SEC was the actual start, it became official yesterday. USC and UCLA are joining the Big Ten. This makes the first conference to reach from coast to coast. I don’t think everything is done yet. But, my guess is that we won’t see any more movement until next June. And, it feels like Notre Dame may be the next domino to fall.

Reverberations from this announcement: the Big Ten is currently negotiating a new media deal. While Fox is expected to keep top tier rights to conference football, Apple is negotiating to get 1-2 second tier games a week for the Apple TV+ streaming service.
