I was just wondering if charging with a case on can cause any problems. I have heard that you should remove your case when charging. Just looking for some insight.

If the phone can not properly vent, and the battery is allowed to get hot; it can damage the battery.

Depends on the case and whether or not it supports charging. I can charge in some cases with a cable and in others with a dock, depending on e dock.

I've used the Seidio Jr. dock since day one, with no problems. It works with the Apple Bumper and a variety of other cases. Get it at TiPb, in the Accessories section.:)

I have a seidio desktop cradle. I can put my iPhone with a incipio feather into it. I also have a little black book. I am just concerned about hearing this over heating thing and whether it is safe for me to charge my phone in my cases or not.

I've never had a problem charging with the bumper on the phone.

I don't think I've ever charged any of my phones while *out* of the case and they all still work fine, batteries too. :p

Where have you heard this from? As always, consider the source. It certainly doesn't hurt to remove the case but if you have suitable ventilation to prevent overheating then there's no reason to remove the case.
