Changing icloud email. After updating it on itunes/app store

I changed my itunes app store email because i no longer use yahoo so i updated it to my gmail everything was ok until icloud says wrong name and password. I cant seem to change my icloud email only the password

The issue I discovered was my AppleID/iTunes username was not an email address... so when I converted my mobile-me account over to iCloud, it was associated with that... and, when logging on to iCloud via the Web, low & behold I get told my AppleID has to be updated to an e-mail address... but, it wouldn't let me use my mobileMe address (dammit)... after some finagling, I got my old, converted MobileMe account forwarding mail to my new iCloud one... good thing I didn't use the MobileMe account for anything important... I won't miss anything.

Yeah, my main e-mail is still my @gmail account, but I'm now using my new @me account to log into everything, even if it shows me logged in as my @gmail account, I can still use the two interchangeably.
