change mobile carrier

Hey guys, is there currently any way to change the carrier name on an iPhone 4s without having a jailbreak..

I know before you could simply go into a backup, edit a file and then restore the phone from that back up... was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to do this on the 4S... its all i really want jail breaking for anyways.

It may be. I was tinkering around in the springboard settings file in my backup and found a "carrier spoof" string which is normally blank. I may put something in and restore from that backup to see if it changes.
