Change iPhone to 4:5 aspect ratio?

Is there any way to change the aspect ratio of the camera on the iPhone? Ever since I got the new iPhone 10s Max when I upload videos to Instagram it chops off the top of them. Can someone help please? Thank you

I don’t think you can do it in the native app, you could turn on the grid, which could help you frame the scene so you know what will be cropped off. Or you could use 3rd party software like filmic Pro which allows you to change the aspect ratio.

Thank you so much. I will definitely give it a try. I don’t know how to use the grid to know what will be cropped off lol. If I keep uploading to Instagram and having it chop off the top of the picture it will be SOO annoying

There’s always going to be a little bit chopped off in Instagram but you can choose to post the “full” version. https://help.instagram.com/1469029763400082. You can also move the photo around to get what you want in the square. I have only posted a couple of pics since getting the XS but haven’t had problems with chopping.

I’m not having any problems with chopping on the photos. Just on video
