I only buy from Apple. I don't trust T-Mobile to not screw it up. Their rates for seniors is great, but as a whole, the operation is pretty flaky.

All the other Apple thingies I buy from Apple self.

You have someone at your T-Mobile store that you trust to fix something? Wow! Lucky you!

Just picked up my new Blue iPhone 13 Pro 128 from Best Buy. They had a special promotion with my carrier T Mobile and gave me an extra $200 on trade for my SE2020 device.

I originally ordered a Silver 256 model, but they accidentally cancelled my order and only had a Blue 128 model in stock and I wasn’t going to reorder another one and have to wait another week, so I just took the Blue 128 model they had.

They gave me a free clear outerbox clear case and deluxe screen protector for their mistake, so, after 2 hours in the store, I finally got home and did a restore from the cloud and I am up and running on my new device.

Do you think even Apple stores close

The Apple Store a long block from my HQ office opens and closes based on combination of public health data and Apple management decisions. The business teams at the stores keep working.

As for where I purchase, it depends. Personally it's Apple or Verizon. For work we now have near 200 Apple devices in management and get them via ABM for the management features. Those are bought via Apple's portal or CDW based on price and availability.

No. I don’t go to the T-Mobile store with issues. The Apple Store is next to it, so I just make an appointment with the Genius Bar and have them fix it. Which saves me time, because the T-Mobile store takes it in, sends it to their Apple Certified Repair Service.
So why should I add more steps if I simply can take it in to Apple my self and cut out the T-Mobile store

Except for that I actually buy my iPhones from T-Mobile. They’re cheaper than the Apple Store.
But even then, if needed, I take the iPhone to the Apple Store for service.

I always buy from Apple. These days, I get 3% cash back from the Apple Card when I buy from Apple. And I never trade in my old phone - I keep my last phone as a "just in case" spare for the family, and trade in my second oldest phone, which this year was the 6s.

Also, Apple requires signature on delivery. When I bought the 6s, it was from Verizon, and there was no signature requirement - it was just left on my front porch. I was home, but I prefer it Apple's way.

Got it and that makes sense. I misunderstood you.

I said earlier my carrier. I prefer getting phone from Verizon. I get it in less time. I am able to upgrade early but I may keep my 13 pro longer.
I do however get my Apple Watch directly from Apple. I get great trade in on the watch

Agreed Doogald, the Apple Card 3%, the quick credit of the 3%, the instant trade in credit (I do trade in my devices), no interest payment offer, all done from the Apple Store app — for me it’s ideal.
Most recently Ipad Mini 6 was 12 months interest free and 150$ Trade in for my old Mini. 24 months interest free for Watch S8 with a 250$ credit on my S7. (I could get more secondary market but the ease of trade in is appealing for me).
The interest free payments are a benefit a lot of people pass up. Don’t. Setup Apple Card to auto pay the 12 or 24 payments. Interest free is, in effect, added cash back.
