Cant Update

So I'm trying to update my iPhone to 2.0.1 but everytime i click on update it gives me a message saying, "The iPhone software update server cannot be contacted. Make your sure your network settings are correct and your connection is active."
I want to know why this is happening and if anybody can help me resolve this problem.

are you in windows or a MAC?

I know that you can manually down the install file for the update through Itunes.

The trick is to hold down SHIFT or control, i forget which... i think it's control.
and click the Search for updates button while holding it down. This will actually let you download the install file to your computer, then you can run it.

Not sure if this will help you or not but it's worth a try.
