I was receiving macOS Sierra public betas. I unenrolled and followed all of the steps, but I am still receiving updates in the App Store. I imagine I need to go to a stable public release, but I don't know how to do that. Last year I did the public betas and then left with no problem. This year it's not quite so easy it seems ....
