Can't Right Click "Backup iPhone" in iTunes

Hi all,

A while back, I used to be able to right click on my iPhone 4 in iTunes and manually select "backup" to force a backup right then and there. It worked over wifi and usb, and didn't matter if I was normally backing up to computer or to iCloud.

However now, no matter what I do, the "backup" option doesn't show up when I right click. This started happening before I reinstalled my Macbook Pro (i'm using Lion).

Does anybody have any advice on how to get manual backups via iTunes working again?

I'll post a picture of what pops up when I right click now.

You mention reinstalling your MacBook... which version of iTunes do you have? 10.5.3 or something earlier? And did you check for software updates after reinstalling on the MacBook?
