can't open ics files in iOS 7

So after updating both my iPad and iPhone to iOS 7, it seems I can no longer ics files/calendar invites. Before, it worked fine.

Is there a setting I should look for?

Go to settings: calendar: click on your subscribed calendars: choose your calendar and turn off "use SSL". Click on Done. Calendar should then be back!

this is for an ics file/calendar invite I get via email. I can see my calendars, I just can't open the ics file. With the previous version of iOS, the attachment opened automatically.

The only calendar I use on the phone is my iCloud calendar...I don't see the SSL option.

I have the same problem after upgrading my iPad to iOS7. Did you get a resolution?

I also have the Same issue. The only way I found to work around it is to forward the email to myself. I reopen the email from myself and everything works. Don't know why? I wish apple could figure it out and divide an update fix.
