Since I updated my phone to the new iOS. I have noticed that when people call, i'm not given the option to ignore the phone call. i can only swipe to answer, It doesn't give me an ignore option.

Reset your device by holding the power button and home button down (or volume down button on iPhone 7/7+) simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo. If the problem persists let us know.

I've never had that option on my 6S Plus. I wondered why Apple didn't have this as it is very convenient when you need it. You can't turn it over to silence the ringing either. I've only found pressing the power button works. Wish there was a reject call option.

If you silence the ringer then you have to be sure to turn it back on again. Shouldn't have to do that to get rid of a call. A choice to reject or accept the call is so simple and straightforward. It's an Apple kind of thing to do! Hopefully it will be implemented in an update.

Pressing the power button once does not permanently silence the ringer. It silences the ringtone for that specific phone call only.

You're confused with the mute switch on the left side of the iPhone.

If you're using your device, you get the ignore option on the screen. If your device is locked, you'll only get the slide to answer & will have to press the power button twice to ignore the call.
